About Cloverdale

Cloverdale Community Centre is a community-led Neighbourhood House located in the northern Geelong suburb of Corio. Incorporated in 1994, Cloverdale operates as a not-for-profit incorporated association governed by a voluntary Committee of Management made up of local residents and community representatives.

For more than 30 years, Cloverdale has worked alongside community using community development and social justice principles to create welcoming, inclusive and accessible spaces where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can connect, learn and participate.

We believe strong communities are built through belonging, opportunity, creativity and participation. Our work focuses on reducing barriers to social connection, education, wellbeing and community involvement through place-based and community-led approaches that respond to local need.

As a Learn Local organisation, Cloverdale delivers quality Adult Community Education that supports learners to build skills, confidence and pathways into further education, training, volunteering and employment. We work collaboratively with a range of education and tertiary partners, including The Gordon, to create accessible learning opportunities and supported pathways for our community.

Cloverdale also provides a broad range of community programs, wellbeing initiatives, creative activities, events and social connection opportunities that encourage individual expression, cultural participation and community resilience. We aim to create spaces where people feel safe, supported and empowered to build relationships, contribute to community life and strengthen their sense of belonging.

Cloverdale Community Centre acknowledges the ongoing support of the Victorian Government through the Neighbourhood House Coordination Program and the City of Greater Geelong through its Neighbourhood House funding program. The City’s provision of our community facility, together with its continued investment in neighbourhood houses, enables us to deliver accessible programs, build community connections and respond to local needs.

Cloverdale Community Centre is a Learn Local Organisation supported by the Adult Community & Further Education (ACFE) Board and is part of the Barwon Network of Neighbourhood Centres and a member of Neighbourhood Houses Victoria.

At its core, Cloverdale is a place for community – a space where people can gather, learn, create, contribute and grow together.
