Cloverdale is home to a range of general interest programs and activities. You can attend each week or every now and then. These programs generally have a fee attached, although we work hard to keep it to a minimum.
Note that our programs and activities are subject to COVID-19 protocols.
In 2020, our programs and activities include:
Cloverdale Singers: Our weekly community singing adapted to an online version, capably led by Hannah Reeves, during Term 2. The Singers will remain online for the time being. Tune in to the Centre’s Facebook page at 10am on Tuesday to join Hannah as she leads folk, gospel, rounds, ballads and part songs. Staff are working on options to bring the singers back together, in the same room, as soon as possible.
Ukulele Players: Ukulele has resumed with limited numbers. This is a musical gathering for those who have a grasp of the basics of ukulele and want to refine their skills including performing, strumming and chord progressions. The group meets on Thursdays, 10am-noon and the cost is $3 per session. Beginner classes are also available (bookings essential) for $3 per class.
Cloverdale Craft and Knitting Group:
The craft and knitting group is back at Cloverdale and meets on Fridays from noon until 3.30pm. Bring your craft or knitting project and join with Marguerite for a relaxed craft or knitting session. The cost is $2 per session. New members are asked to phone the centre on (03) 5275-4415 before attending.
North Geelong Community Big Band:
As one of the largest groups based at the Centre, the band is temporarily unable to be accommodated. Staff are working on options to bring these musicians of varying abilities back to their dynamic band experience under band-master Ian Burrowes.
For more information about the band, contact the centre on (03) 5275-4415.

Cooking for Blokes:
Staff are working on options for the return of Cooking for Blokes, which is facilitated by the Australian Red Cross. This is a socially inclusive space for men to meet, cook and socialise, and meets on Mondays at 11am. To register your interest, contact the centre by email, email@example.com or phone, (03) 5275-4415.
Tai Chi: Learn Tai Chi to reduce stress and improve your balance, strength, flexibility and confidence. Mondays, 9.30-10.30am. $5 per session.
Yoga: Cloverdale’s yoga group adapted to online delivery via the Centre’s Facebook page in Term 2 and will continue in this way until the end of the year. Our instructor, Kellie, is sharing two, one-hour classes each week to the Cloverdale Facebook Page – one on Monday and one on Wednesday evening. They stay on the page for people to do when they please.
